Monday, August 3
Site Visit
The team conducted an initial site visit to inspect the work areas, confirm equipment locations and review the installation requirements.
Tuesday, August 4
Pump Room
Cable joint was made through the mail room to complete the connection.
MDF Cabling
Sixteen Category 6 copper cables, each approximately 15 metres long, were installed at the MDF between locations B04 and B13.
Wednesday, August 5
UPS Installations
The following small UPS units were installed:
- Potaro: 3 units
- Orinduik: 3 units
- Amalia: 3 units
- Baracara: 3 units
Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is a battery-backup device that provides instant emergency power to connected electronics when the main utility power fails.
How a UPS Works
Monitors Power: It constantly watches the incoming electricity from your wall outlet.
Switches Instantly: When it detects a blackout, brownout, or severe voltage drop, it switches to its internal battery in milliseconds.
Conditions Power: It smooths out electrical noise, spikes, and surges to deliver clean and stable energy.
MDF Terminations
Work was carried out on the keystone-jack terminations and MDF patch panels using client-supplied NEXXT components.
The available NEXXT components were exhausted before all terminations could be completed. Additional materials are required to finish this portion of the work.
Thursday, August 6
Training Room
- 1 small UPS installed at the podium
- 2 large UPS units installed at the equipment rack

Friday, August 7
UPS Installations
- Ireng: 5 small and 2 large UPS units
- Rewa: 3 small UPS units
- Peccary: 1 small UPS unit
MDF Fiber Cabling
Two client-supplied fiber-optic cables were installed at the MDF between locations B03 and B04.
Visual Room
Two large UPS units were installed behind the flat-panel displays.
Monday, August 10–Tuesday, August 11
Large UPS units were installed behind the main display screens in the following rooms:
- Arapaima Guyana room
- Ireng Guyana room
- Kaieteur Guyana room
- Visual Room

The installation included 32 SLi-600 lithium-ion UPS units.

Outstanding Work and Notes
- Additional NEXXT keystone and patch-panel components are required to complete the MDF terminations.
- The original conduit route to the Pump Room could not be located, requiring a cable joint through the mail room.
